Church Council 2009

2009 was ayear when the church again reiterated its desire to continue with new ways of being church, and to be attractive to a new generation.

Also the final push to complete our final upgrading of our church saw the funds being made available by the council. The church redecoration and refurbishment was completed in October and was reopened after several weeks of closure. The work, started 5 years or more ago by John Marples who sadly died in 2007 was completed by his sucessor as Chapel Property Steward, Stewart Washbourne.

Many thousands of pounds were raised and the church gained access both upstairs and down for the disabled. It was rewired, repainted, had new toilets, a new porch, new windows, a new ceiling, considerable structural rtepair and is now ready to face the next 25 years.
